Acknowledgements

Many people at APS have contributed to the development of the Toolkit with their ideas, suggestions, and bug discoveries. Among these are Glenn Decker, Rabinder Koul, Eliane Lessner, and Stephen Milton. Gordon Pusch provided valuable ideas for several programs. Ken Evans wrote the mpl_motif ``outboard driver'' for mpl X-windows graphics. Special mention goes to Louis Emery, who started using the Toolkit at SSRL and who has made more suggestions than I can possibly remember.

Many of the numerical methods used in the Toolkit are adapted from Numerical Recipes in C[4].
