  tellipse outputfile [-n_points=number] { [-particles= filename] | [-beta= value(m)] [-alpha= value] [-emittance= value(mm-mr)] [-centroid= position(mm),slope(mrad)] }

• description:
  tellipse creates a data set containing points on an ellipse defined in terms of the Twiss parameters and emittance[5], or else matching the RMS parameters of a particle distribution.
• files:
  The points on the ellipse are placed in outputfile.
• options:

  n_points

  
  Specifies the number of points on the ellipse. The default is 200.

  particles

  
  Specifies the filename for a data set containing pairs for which a matching ellipse will be generated. The RMS emittance and beta functions are printed to the screen.

  beta, alpha, emittance, centroid

  
  These options specify the Twiss parameters (in meters) and , the RMS emittance in mm-mrad, and the centroid (in mm and mrad) for the ellipse.
